Two Beautiful Ornaments

That's right, today I received two beautiful ornaments from two dear friends.  Margaret, who I first met through Carol S. while attending Celebration of Needlework in NH two years ago, sent the first.  She stitched a design from one of my all time favorite designers...

Designer: Prairie Schooler
Design: A visit from St, Nicholas
Gift from Margaret C.

I truly love this ornament.  It is beautifully stitched and finished and it certainly is a wonderful addition to my tree. Thank you so much Margaret!  I look forward to seeing you at the 2014 Celebration show!

The second ornament was sent to me by a very thoughtful, generous, caring friend Carol S.

Designer: Knotted Tree Needleart
Design: Star So Bright
JCS 2013 Christmas Ornament Preview Issue
Gift from Carol S.

When I saw this design in the JCS Ornament Preview issue I tagged it as a "must stitch" ornament.  Thanks to Carol I no longer need to stitch it!  As always she did a beautiful job stitching/finishing this ornament. Take a look at the beaded edge...

Wow, so many tiny beads perfectly stitched onto the edge. Thank you, my dear friend for the beautiful ornament and for your friendship!

Thanks for stopping by and until next time ~

It's A Beauty

I participated in a recent HOE Stitcher's Choice Exchange and received a beautiful ornament from Amy.  Here is a picture...

Designer: Shepherd's Bush
Design: I Saw
From: 2013 JCS Ornament Issue
Stitched for: MarieP
Stitched by: Amy V-M

Amy ruched the trim using a beautiful ribbon that perfectly compliments the design.  Did you see the adorable little bird button? Too cute!

I can't thank you enough Amy.  The ornament adorns my recently decorated tree and looks fabulous.

Christmas Glitter is complete and en route to Austria.

Designer: Susan Probst
Stitched for: Markus K

Each tree was hand appliqued onto the background and then I accented each one by stitching the garland using gold metallic thread.  A silver snowflake button tops each tree.

In keeping with the "Tree" theme I stitched LHN Joy and Peace and included the ornament with the wall quilt...

2011 Monthly Ornament #9
Designer: LHN
Design: Joy and Peace
Stitched for: Markus

December has arrived so we can put out our bird feeder without the fear of a big backyard bear ripping it from the shepherds hook, lying on the ground, and emptying all the bird seed.  Yes, that did happen and I was beyond horrified and truly scared.  It is so nice to view the birds from my kitchen window.

A Beautiful New Ornament For The Tree

My personal exchange from Shirlee arrived and I could not be happier. Opening the box I saw this...

Unwrapping the gifts I found this....

Designer: Sampler Girl
Design: Good Tidings To You
From: 2011 JCS Ornament Issue
Stitched by: Shirlee H.

What a beautiful ornament, absolutely beautiful ~ so perfectly stitched and finished. I must point out that Shirlee stitched this on 40ct over 2, a favorite of mine.

Included in my exchange package was a selection of DMC and some delicious Peppermint Bark Malted Mint Balls.

Thanks again Shirlee for making this a truly wonderful exchange.

Thanks for stopping by and...
