To date we have lived in:
- Massachusetts
- New Hampshire
- Virginia
- Texas
- Maryland
- New Jersey
- Connecticut
- and have spent much time in our 2nd home in Vermont.
As some of you know I wanted to make Vermont my permanent home, but that is not going to happen; not yet, maybe never.
I am currently on a house hunting trip and am sitting in my room at the Marriott Hotel...My question to you is: Where's Waldo? I shall not reveal my location at this time, I will let you play along if you like. Leave a comment and let me know where you think I am moving to.
Here are just a few hints:
- We had the chance to move to Germany but decided to stay in the USA.
- You won't find me on the Ski Slopes very often.
- I will no longer be a 3 hour car trip away from my boys who are in college in PA, I will be a 3-4 hour flight away.
- I really should give away my winter clothes.
Sorry, but those few that already know where I am moving to are not permitted to play. :)
I am happy to say that we have found our new home and are scheduling the closing. I am even happier to say that this is a corporate move so I will leave the packing and moving to someone else, Yippee!!! Can you see me grinning ear to ear?
Until next time...

You are always going, how do you do it? I am excited for you!!! I will say Florida, because, it’s warm there right? And 3-4 hours away from PA on an airplane… possibly. Best of luck getting all moved in and enjoy your new home :D *hugs*
I'm guessing Florida.. having someone pack your stuff sounds the best!
Michelle
My guess is Arizona. At least you have someone to pack for you. That is good. You probably will want to pack your own cross stitch stash.
I am figuring Florida...probably down near Miami!!!
Back to Texas??? I'm in Texas, so I had to guess that one. :)
I've so enjoyed reading your blog, Marie, and I hope your move goes smoothly!
Hi Marie,
Are you moving to California? I would have to guess southern not northern.
Best wishes for a move that goes smoothly.
I won't join in - I already know where you will be moving. But congratulations on having found a new home so quickly. And on the fact that someone else packs for you.
Hi Marie! Please be sure and let me know your new address. I am still working on getting my act together this year. It's been one thing after another. Good luck with your move and I hope you enjoy your new home =)
I say Kansas!
Good luck with your move
Sounds like a dream come true!!! I am going to guess Arizona...good luck with the move.
Hope it's a good move - my guess is AZ as well! :-)
ENJOY & can't wait to see more of your stitching & finishes! :-)
I am guessing Georgia! I was between that and Texas :-).
How exciting. I have to say I am tiny bit jealous, my DH was in the military for 20 some years and we moved with great regularity and I loved it. In fact I've been rearranging and chaning things in our house because I have movingitis and nowhere to go, LOL. Hope your move goes smoothly, it's always better when someone else does the packing, and you settle in quickly.
As there are a couple guesses already for AZ, I'll go with New Mexico. LOL. Good luck with the upcoming move!!
I'll say Texas .. has anyone else said Texas? lol
How exciting to have a new house! and having someone else pack for you .. woot!
I'm going to guess my state, California. It matches up with all your hints.
Good luck with the move....to Florida!!!!
Nice and sunny weather! ;)
Marie - I hate moving so I feel for ya!! I was in the AF for 24 years and moved 9 times. Yuk!!!
I would like to guess that you are moving to either Florida or Southern Alabama, can't make up my mind. Since so many have said Florida, I will stick with Alabama. I have lived there and you do not need winter clothes in southern Alabama.
It is always fun to watch other people pack you furniture. Brings back nightmares. Glad we will not be moving for a long time.
Happy Trails!!
CJ
I say Georgia!
I say Louisiana. Glad you found a new house to make a home.
Gwen
my guess is also Florida!
Okay....I will guess either South Carolina or Mississippi :) Whereever it is you are going have a safe trip :)
Natasha
Ha! It's fun to see the entries above! Since I already know where you're going I can't play...but I can enjoy! LOL
It's great to know somebody else will be doing the packing, loading and unloading, Marie. And that you've found a house. You have to tell me all about it. Hugs, Deb
My guess is California. I Hope it is someplace like San Francisco so you will have lots of great places to find stash and inspiration.
Shay
Look like my hometown in China!!

Hey, just found your blog last week. This is my second time to visit.
Sorry you are having to leave the state that you were wishing to stay in.
My guess is that you are moving to Tennesee. Isn't that where Germantown is? {Could have moved to Germany} is the only clue that spoke to me.
Thank you,
My oh my Marie...why not come over to germany???? That would be fun...our neighbor house is still empty so you can live really close to meee;-))))
Gaby
I'm guessing Texas or Arizona. Georgia is too close unless there aren't any direct flights, California's too far, and New Mexico is too cold - having been there in winter - BRRRRRR!!!! (This from a PA to CA transplant - I "freeze" when it's 60 degrees outside now! LOL)
My first thought was Arizona or SoCal, maybe SoTex. Right now the thought of living somewhere warm is very appealing. But itt's been 22 years since my last move so the thought of moving is scary to say the least. :D
I'll say Florida. I don't know much about the US, but I know it's warm in Florida.
I guess Florida when all the sunshine is. Good luck with the move.
Hugs
I'm going for Texas. Good luck with the move, I hate moving.
I'm thinking southern Florida??? I actually didn't comment to be part of the contest, but figured I'd put my 2 cents in. :) I see that you haven't been on for a bit, hope all is well. I am new to the world of stitching and have been browsing various blogs to try and gain some knowledge and get some tips / ideas. I originally started with a stamped, then counted “kits”. I’m working on my 2nd chart and have noticed some big differences in floss types and quality.
My Cross Stitch Mentor has told me that I’m ready to graduate from Aida, but I really like Aida. Maybe it’s just beginner’s comfort???
If you would answer my question… What type of fabric or fabrics do you prefer and why? Brands and counts?
I would appreciate any advice, thanks!
Arkansas? Wherever you move, you will make it a cozy home.
Another Florida guess here!
I'm going to guess Arizona. My dad was stationed there when I was a kid and we definitely didn't need winter clothes Good luck with your move!
